Empowering the Grassroots through Messaging and Training
Summer lecture series

This interactive series will have many “hand’s on” components and focus on making us all better, more effective volunteers by providing the tools and knowledge needed to win the war to keep Texas RED. All meetings will be held at the Collin County GOP headquarters from 7:00-9:00pm and are open to all. Please plan to join us and invite all of your Republican friends.

June 17- Changing Hearts and Minds to Change the World- Amy Clark
Learn to use the power of words! Amy will teach techniques in positive messaging, creating a memorable “elevator speech”, and how to re-frame questions when dealing with hostile people or the press. Never again be uncomfortable when block walking or talking to potential voters. You will leave with a new sense of confidence!
July 1- Defining and Defending Issues- Ag. Commissioner Todd Staples, Mel Pokorny and D’rinda Randall
Learn how to define and defend immigration, the 2nd amendment, and pro-life platforms in logical, positive and non-threatening ways that bring people into the party.
July 15- Legislative and Political Process- Nat’l Committeewoman Toni Anne Dashiell
The “legislative” part of this lecture includes the steps required to get a bill on the floor for a vote, defining Sunset Review, etc. For the “political process” portion, you will learn how (besides voting) you can directly affect legislation.

July 29-Multimedia for Republicans- Deanna Kuykendall and Sable Coleman
Creating and effectively using Facebook and Twitter. If you don’t have accounts, you’ll have them when you leave. If you do, you’ll learn how to use them to your advantage by tweeting and posting wisely. Bring a smartphone or tablet.
